An Exterior Project in Westhaven
The Westhaven project began with faded pale yellow siding and visible weathering. The homeowners wanted to modernize the exterior while preserving the character of the home.
We provided a digital color rendering before painting began so they could see the planned palette together. Preparation included protective tarps over nearby bushes and masking around the windows. The one-week repaint covered the siding, trim, shutters, and front door.
Sherwin-Williams Duration Exterior was used in Naval SW 6244 on the siding, Pure White SW 7005 on the trim, and Tricorn Black SW 6258 on the shutters and front door.

Interior House Painting
We paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, baseboards, and other interior surfaces, with minor drywall preparation where needed. Interior projects currently average about $500 to $800 per room. Room size, ceiling height, surface condition, preparation, and product selection can move a project toward the higher end of that range. A single bedroom may take one to two days, while larger or more preparation-heavy interiors take longer.
Exterior House Painting
Our exterior work includes siding, brick, stucco, trim, shutters, soffits, gutters, and front doors. Current pricing guidance is about $3,000 to $8,000 for smaller homes, $8,000 to $15,000 for medium homes, and $15,000 and up for larger homes. Most exterior projects take five to ten days, depending on home size, preparation, repairs, colors, and weather.
Cabinet Painting
We paint kitchen cabinets, vanities, and built-ins for homeowners who want a new finish without replacing the cabinetry. Cost depends on the number of doors and drawers, the condition of the existing finish, the number of colors, and the cabinet material. Most kitchen cabinet projects take seven to ten days from door removal through final reinstallation.
Deck & Fence Painting
We paint and stain decks, fences, pergolas, gazebos, and other outdoor structures. Most deck staining projects currently range from about $1,600 to $5,500. Size, wood condition, preparation requirements, railing and spindle detail, product choice, accessibility, and the existing coating all affect the estimate.
Concrete Coatings
We coat garage floors, patios, driveways, walkways, and other residential concrete surfaces. We price concrete coatings after measuring and inspecting the surface. Square footage, surface condition, crack repair, existing coatings, and the coating system selected all affect the scope and cost.

Painting Homes in Franklin's Historic Districts
Franklin’s Historic Preservation Overlay includes multiple local historic districts and landmarks. If your property falls within the overlay, paint color selection itself is not reviewed by the Historic Zoning Commission (HZC). The City’s design guidance recommends colors and schemes appropriate to a building’s age and architectural style, but that recommendation is different from an HZC paint color approval requirement.
Other parts of a painting project can trigger a different process. The City of Franklin lists painting previously unpainted masonry among the work that requires HZC approval. It also asks property owners to contact Historic Preservation staff before any repair or replacement work, including work that does not require a Certificate of Appropriateness, so the proposed changes and work specifications can be documented.
Preparation can uncover deteriorated siding, masonry, or other materials that need repair or replacement. If your project involves previously unpainted brick or repairs like these, contact Historic Preservation staff before that work proceeds and tell us during your estimate so we can plan the painting scope around it.
For projects that do require a formal COA, Franklin also encourages applicants to use its voluntary Design Review Committee process before submitting the formal application. The DRC provides informal, nonbinding guidance that can help applicants identify design issues before full HZC review.

When you request an estimate online or call us, we respond within one business day. We then schedule an on-site visit to inspect the surfaces, take measurements, identify preparation or repair needs, and talk through the work you are considering.
What will be in the estimate?
You receive a detailed written estimate within 48 hours of the site visit. It is based on the actual surfaces, condition, preparation, materials, and expected timeline rather than a generic flat rate. Your approved estimate establishes the agreed scope. If you later request additional work or change that scope, we discuss the effect on price before moving forward.
Can I see a color change before the project begins?
For applicable projects, we can provide digital render visualizations to help you see a proposed color direction in the actual space before committing. AllBright currently offers rendering for interior color decisions, cabinet projects when homeowners are undecided on color, and selected exterior applications.
Who will be working at my home?
Our painting crews are made up of screened AllBright employees rather than subcontractors or day labor. A project manager remains responsible for communication through the final walkthrough. During active work, you receive status updates and progress photos so you know what has been completed and what comes next.
How is the home protected?
On interior projects, we cover floors and furniture and mask hardware and nearby surfaces before work starts. Preparation may include patching, sanding, caulking, or priming depending on the scope identified in your estimate. On multi-day work, the crew keeps the work area organized and cleans up as the project progresses.
When do I pay?
After you approve the estimate and sign the agreement, a 25% deposit secures the project date. The remaining 75% is collected after the final walkthrough. Painting projects are backed by a two-year limited workmanship warranty, along with the applicable lifetime product warranty provided by the manufacturer.
What happens when the work is finished?
We walk the completed project with you and review the painted surfaces and details included in the scope. If anything does not meet your standards, we address it before we leave. Final payment is collected once you are completely satisfied with the completed work.
Can weather change an exterior schedule?
Yes. AllBright typically schedules exterior painting between late March and mid-November, when temperatures and humidity are more suitable for proper adhesion and curing. We do not treat every date on the calendar as a good painting day. If conditions would put the finish at risk, we would rather delay or decline the work than knowingly apply a coating under conditions that could compromise its performance.
